Our volunteer team helps with content editing & formatting.

Once the final version is author-approved, we publish the book.

Authors can request a royalty & donations report anytime.

Publishing Agreement

( Full Book Publication Under YW KDP Donation Account )

2-Week Process in total

This Agreement is made between Bookmark League (operating under the platform YouthWriters.org) and the undersigned Author regarding the publication of the Author’s written work (the “Work”) through Bookmark League’s KDP donation publishing account.

1. Publishing Rights & Duration
By choosing to publish under the Donation Account, the Author grants Bookmark League non-exclusive rights to publish and manage the Work via its official Amazon KDP account.
These rights commence upon the official KDP publication date. Full publishing rights may be transferred to the Author upon written request after a 12-month term; otherwise, the Work will remain under the YW Amazon account.
2. Royalties & Donations
The Author agrees that 100% of the royalties earned from the Work under the YW Amazon account will be donated to a children’s charity aligned with Bookmark League’s mission.Bookmark League will not retain or profit from any portion of the proceeds.
3. Sales & Donation Data Transparency
The Author has the right to request quarterly sales and royalty reports related to the Work.
Donation and royalty summaries will be provided upon written request, ensuring full transparency during the donation period.
4. Copyright & Creative Ownership
The Author retains full copyright and creative ownership of their Work. All editorial changes made by Bookmark League — including formatting, layout, or cover design — will be submitted to the Author for approval. Publication of the Work shall constitute confirmation that the Author has reviewed and approved all final content and design. The Author also retains the right to independently publish the same Work outside of Amazon KDP at any time, including but not limited to school submissions, literary competitions, and personal websites.
5. Limitation of Liability
Bookmark League is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization and does not guarantee or imply any commercial outcome or profit from the publication.
The Author agrees not to pursue any legal claim or damages against Bookmark League, YouthWriters, or affiliated volunteers for royalty outcomes, marketing results, or perceived missed opportunities related to the publication.
No commercial contract or employer/employee relationship is established by this agreement.
6. Public Credit & Acknowledgment
All published books will include the printed acknowledgment:“Supported by YouthWriters.org”， a nonprofit initiative of Bookmark League.

In addition, the Author will receive an official Certificate of Appreciation issued by Bookmark League, recognizing their contribution to youth creativity and charitable impact.

100% Royalties are Donated

As a nonprofit, we aim to inspire students to write with confidence while giving back to society. All book royalties are donated to children’s charity programs. This way, student authors see how their work makes a real impact, motivating them to continue writing with purpose.
