🌟 About Youth Writers
Youth Writers is a student-led initiative founded in 2024 under the non-profit organization Bookmark League. Created by a group of passionate middle and high school writers, Youth Writers offers free publishing support to students publishing their very first books.
Through this experience, these young volunteers discovered something powerful: helping others share their stories not only encouraged new authors, but also built a joyful community where young writers could connect, exchange ideas, and grow together. Writing became more than just a personal journey — it became a shared mission.
The founder of Youth Writers is Christopher Shao, who wrote his first novel — a 33,500-word fiction book — at the age of 10 (5th grade). Although he now looks back at that book and finds it a bit immature, publishing it marked a turning point in his life. That first book, imperfect as it was, gave him the confidence to keep writing.

It’s that same belief — that every child deserves to see their voice in print — that drives youth writers to help others begin their own writing journey.

I am currently 12 years old and live in Houston, Texas. I attend Seven Lakes Junior High and am going into 7th grade. I love tennis, math, and reading!
I have been playing tennis for almost a year and plan to continue improving my skills. Whenever I have the time, I usually like to read, especially adventure and fiction books. I am very passionate about this business and hope it can be successful and help many kids.
I am excited to see the positive impact my efforts can have on the community and am dedicated to making a difference. In addition to my hobbies, I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My goal is to inspire other kids to pursue their passions and make a positive impact in their own ways.

EASON YIN
About Alex -
Eason Yin (born in 2013) is a student living in Perth, Australia. A talented musician, he is proficient in both the violin and the trumpet, showcasing his passion for the arts. Beyond music, Eason has a keen interest in drawing comics and a deep fascination with history, particularly the events of World War II.
Driven by his curiosity and creativity, he has recently completed this book, a nearly 30,000-word narrative that vividly portrays the diary of a soldier during the Battle of Stalingrad. Eason aims to bring history to life through this work while contributing to a more significant cause. A third of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to children's charities, reflecting his commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
Eason hopes that his readers will enjoy this historical journey and feel inspired to support those in need.

About Bonnie -
My name is Bonnie He and I’m from Diamond bar, CA. I am a 7th grader at Chaparral Middle School and I love chess, tennis, and drawing. I am also part of the science olympiad team in my school.
Chess has been my hobby since kindergarten and tennis has recently become my hobby. I enjoy drawing in my free time and I always want to learn more science. I joined because I want to give kids a chance to improve their collaborative skills.
